Lemon eucalyptus essential oil is extracted from a plant called eucalyptus citriodora found in northeastern Australia. The most common raw material used in production are leaves, which release valuable essential oil during steam distillation. Although it is not as well known as traditional eucalyptus, its popularity continues to grow. Why?

Oil of lemon eucalyptus - properties

Lemon eucalyptus has antiseptic properties that relieve the symptoms of many common respiratory conditions (such as asthma and sinusitis). It is also recommended for infections, especially for coughs and sore throats - the oil liquefies retained secretions, facilitates expectoration and restores normal respiratory functions.

The oil promotes wound healing and has high antioxidant activity. Soothes dermatological problems, regulates the activity of sebaceous glands, cleans and tones the skin. Relieves muscle and joint pain (of moderate intensity), improves blood circulation during massage. It is a natural repellent that effectively repels mosquitoes, ticks and other insects.

It has a fresh yet sweet aroma that can be described as a combination of lemon and rose (mind you, it sounds subtle but can easily dominate any oil blend). Used in a fireplace or diffuser, it has a stimulating and invigorating effect, harmonizes and promotes concentration, while perfectly purifying the air... and the atmosphere.
