Coriander essential oil is extracted from the seeds or leaves of the Coriandrum sativum plant. The extract is made by steam distillation from the mature and dried raw material, as the fresh plant has an odor that is definitely not considered pleasant. Although coriander is primarily associated with culinary use, coriander in its oil form has many very important health benefits.

Coriander oil - properties

Coriander contains biologically active substances that are responsible for antibacterial and antifungal activity - cleans wounds and accelerates the healing process, soothes minor irritations (but excess can dry out the skin).

The oil used in cosmetics improves the appearance of the skin - it cleans, tones and regulates sebum secretion. When used for massage, symptoms related to diseases and joint sprains are alleviated.

Its fresh, herbal, spicy fragrance with light fruity notes. It is known for its stimulating properties, reducing feelings of tiredness and fatigue, adding energy and improving mood. Coriander oil goes well with other essential oils, although even alone it will give a room a wonderful, fresh aroma.
