Neroli oil is extracted from the fresh flowers of the bitter orange tree (Citrus aurantium L.). Interestingly, orange oil (from the fruit) and petitgrain oil (from the leaves) also come from the same plant, although it is important to remember that they are completely different products, both in terms of smell and properties. Neroli oil (due to its unique scent) is one of the most widely used natural extracts in perfumes. And it is not surprising, the perfect combination of floral and citrus notes, although simple, makes an incredible impression.

Neroli oil - properties

It has a very rich chemical composition that, according to studies, shows an effective antimicrobial effect, eliminating several common strains of bacteria and fungi. In addition to fear, it can also be used to treat upper respiratory tract infections (by inhalation).

The oil has a very positive effect on the skin - it promotes the development of the epidermis. Although it is recommended for dry, sensitive and tired skin, it will actually benefit any skin type. It will mattify, nourish and regenerate, maximally gently.

Used in aromatherapy, Neroli means amazing smell, that's for sure. But what to do next? As recent studies have shown, neroli oil has a profound effect on the mental sphere. It shows sedative, anti-anxiety and anti-depressant effects. Importantly, it relieves the symptoms associated with menopause and improves the quality of life of women during this period. Regular (professionally performed) massage with neroli oil helps to get rid of cellulite and can reduce the appearance of stretch marks (as well as prevent new lesions). Neroli oil is also perfect as a natural air freshener at home - it perfectly eliminates unpleasant odors.
