Patchouli essential oil is an extract obtained from the fragrant patchouli herb (Pogostemon cablin). The raw material is the above-ground parts of the plant - leaves and stems, and the steam distillation method is used in the production process. Although the extract became widespread in the 1960s, there are confirmed reports of its use much earlier. Due to its numerous benefits, patchouli essential oil is always a favorite in natural medicine, aromatherapy and cosmetology.

Patchouli oil - properties
