Palmarosa essential oil is extracted from the fresh stems and leaves of the ginger palm (Cymbopogon martinii) using a steam distillation method. Although the plant has a rose scent, it belongs to the same family as lemongrass. The product contains active substances whose properties have been scientifically proven. It has been used in Ayurvedic medicine for thousands of years and continues to grow in popularity, not just among aromatherapy enthusiasts.

Palmarosa oil - properties

Palmarosa essential oil has a strong antimicrobial effect, fights against harmful and pathogenic microorganisms, and also protects small wounds from infection. During infections, it widens the airways, clears the sinuses and relieves coughs. It is sometimes useful for skin diseases (eczema, psoriasis, ringworm) and recurring headaches.

Palmarosa is often included in products for congested skin (firms, regulates sebum secretion) and mature skin (stimulates cell renewal). In fact, it can be used on any skin type that needs nourishment, hydration and elasticity.
