Styrax essential oil is extracted from the cut stems of Styrax benzoin trees. A suitable plant must be healthy and fully mature, at least 10 years old. The main raw material used in the production of oil is a resin called benzoin. Traditionally used to make incense, it is one of the oldest smoky resins in the world, an important medicinal raw material and an ingredient in perfumes.

Styrax oil - properties

The main component of Styrax essential oil is benzoic acid, which is commonly used as a topical antiseptic, it disinfects the skin and promotes its regeneration, especially for small wounds and scratches. Styrax reduces airway obstruction, helps the body during infections. The product is useful in the treatment of skin problems (excessive dryness, recurring imperfections) and inflammation.

Styrax is often used by specialists during massage. It improves blood circulation, reduces the frequency of cramps, breaks down deposits in the lymphatic system and... effectively relaxes.
