Wintergreen essential oil is a product extracted from the leaves of the shrub golteria rozesłana (Gaultheria procumbens), which originates from the wild forests of North America. Despite its name and characteristic smell, the plant does not belong to the same botanical family as mint - goltheria procumbens belongs to the heather family. Historical records show that the shrub was mostly used to treat respiratory ailments. Since then, things have changed a bit, both in terms of features and usage.

Wintergreen essential oil has a complex composition, but the most important ingredient is methyl salicylate, which resembles aspirin in its volume. The product has anti-inflammatory and analgesic properties and can be used topically to reduce muscle, joint or back discomfort. The extract gives a feeling of coolness and soothing, gently anesthetizes. It fights the symptoms of respiratory infections, facilitates breathing and kills microorganisms in the air.

Evening primrose oil improves skin condition, reduces irritation, excessive dryness, as well as other troublesome and unpleasant symptoms of dermatological problems. It shows antiseptic activity, so it is recommended for acne-prone skin. Used in the bath, it refreshes the skin, stimulates the senses and strengthens the body's immunity.
