  • Chamomile oil is produced from the flowers of medicinal chamomile (Matricária recutíta, Asterceae family) by means of fatty extraction. Chamomile grows all over Europe, but mainly in Russia and Ukraine. According to the ancients, chamomile smelled like apples, and Pliny the Elder called them earth apples (chamomilla).
