Neo-Capsiderm is a cream medication for topical use as a warming agent for muscle pain. The drug has analgesic and anti-inflammatory properties.

Composition:

Active ingredients: nonivamide, camphor, maritime pine turpentine oil, eucalyptus oil. 100 g of ointment contains nonivamid (Nonivamidum) - 0.05 g, camphor (Camphora) - 5.3 g, turpentine oil from maritime pine (Terebinthinae aetheroleum and Pino pinastro) - 9.7 g, eucalyptus oil (Eucalypti) - Excipioleents 5 g .2. : lanolin, solid paraffin, liquid paraffin, white petrolatum.

Indications and actions

The drug is used as a warming agent for muscle pain (muscle strain, painful muscle spasms), arthralgia (arthritis) and neuralgia (radiculitis, sciatica). When applied to the skin, Neo-Capsiderm irritates it, causes hyperemia and redness, and therefore warms it. The drug dilates blood vessels, so the painful area is better supplied with blood, swelling and inflammation disappear faster, so the pain gradually disappears.

Dosage:

Always take this medicine exactly as described in this leaflet or as your doctor or pharmacist has told you. If in doubt, ask your doctor or pharmacist. The drug should be used externally, on the skin. The dose of Neo-Capsiderm for adults is a small amount of ointment, massaged into painful areas 1-2 times a day, for no more than 2 days. There should be an interval of 4 hours between subsequent uses. Re-treatment with the drug in the same place is possible only after a break of at least 14 days. After applying the ointment, wash your hands thoroughly and do not touch your eyes or mucous membranes. If the ointment is applied to the same place for a long time, it is possible to damage the sensory nerves.

Contraindications:

Ban on use by children. Do not use in case of damaged skin, hypersensitivity to peppermint products, salicylates or other components of the preparation.

Interactions:

Tell your doctor or pharmacist if you are taking, have recently taken or might take any other medicines, including medicines obtained without a prescription.

Side effects:

Like all medicines, this medicine can cause side effects, although not everybody gets them. In some cases, allergic reactions (hives) may occur. If allergic reactions persist after stopping the drug, consult a doctor. If you experience severe side effects or notice any side effects not listed in this leaflet, stop taking the medicine and tell your doctor or pharmacist.

Warnings and precautions:

At the beginning of the therapy, you may feel tingling and burning. Under no circumstances should you bathe in a hot bath before or after using the medicine, as this may deepen the tingling and burning sensation. If erythema or swelling persists, discontinue use, wash skin with hydrogen peroxide, and seek medical attention. If you are pregnant, breast-feeding, think you may be pregnant or are planning to become pregnant, talk to your doctor or pharmacist before taking this medicine. Do not use Neo-Capsidem ointment during pregnancy and breastfeeding. The drug is not intended for use by children. Neo-Capisderm ointment contains lanolin, which can cause local skin irritation (contact inflammation).
